Perfumes, EDTs and deodorants are my eternal favourites. My parents, friends and relatives know that very well. So, I often get such items as gifts from them. Recently my dad went abroad for some business trips and on his return, he handed me an Escada Ocean Lounge Eau De Toilette (100ml). Needless to say, I was super-duper happy and hugged him. And, here goes the review.
The Escada EDT Ocean Lounge, first of all, has nothing to do with either ocean or lounge. The smell is fruity and flowery, unique of its kind and gives an instant fresh feeling as soon as you wear it. As Escada defines the notes of the perfume, the top notes are litchi, plum, pear nectar accord and strawberry minge accord, the middle notes are violet petal sorbet aromas, mimosa blossom and jasmine, whereas the base notes are amber, sheer vanilla and teak wood. You can easily understand the wake of the perfume, it’s just so lingering and fresh!
Ocean Lounge is neither too strong as to give you a headache nor so light that you can’t feel its presence. It’s just perfect. It leaves a sillage behind and you’re sure to get admiration from your friends or wherever you go.
The perfume, actually any perfume, stays longer if you dab on unscented moisturizer before wearing it. Best effects will come if you spray the perfume on specific pressure points; the inner wrists, near the collar bone, behind ear lobes, inner elbows, cleavage, and behind the knees.
These are pulse points or pressure points emitting natural body heat, which allows the perfume to diffuse from the body, and eventually allowing it to leave behind a trail of scintillating fragrance.
The perfume is perfect for the warm weather though it’s on the lighter side. I need not re-applying it and it stays for at least 6/7 hours even if you roaming outside during the daytime. It stays for a much, much longer period if you’re staying in air-condition.
It holds good as an evening wear perfume too. I think it goes well with every age-group as it is light and fruity-floral and leaves you not only fresh but also confident.
